KIDS PROGRAMMES

Be Ausome Project
National Lottery Community Fund (2022- 2027)

This programme provides:

 

  • Group and one-to-one therapies- Play, Music, Art

  • Health and wellbeing programmes- Yoga, Mindfulness classes, Fitness, Jiu-Jitsu, Dance,

  • Circus skills, Rugby, Swimming

  • Activities and workshops- Teddybear making, Music, Messy Play, Arts and Crafts

  • Stay and play sensory sessions- COS bouncy castle

  • Youth Club

  • Midterm activities

  • Summer Scheme


This programme provides much-needed therapy and experiences for our children and young people in a supportive and safe environment.

  • Play therapy –Children can develop effective use of spatial, visual and analytical skills. Small group work allows the therapist to explore mental and emotional well-being.

  • Music therapy- Allows children to express themselves and be creative. It is a safe space to explore feelings and self-awareness and develop peer relationships.

  • Art therapy- It allows children the opportunity to release emotions and begin a process of self-discovery, building self-esteem and confidence through a sense of achievement and pride in producing artwork.

COS Carers Project
Funded until June 2026


This programme aims to:

  • Promote wellbeing:

    • Restorative yoga

    • Meditation classes

    • Breakfast support groups

    • Afternoon Tea

  • Fortnightly parent/carer support groups in the COS Centre

​This programme aims to:

 

Provide a one-to-one confidential counselling service to the parents and carers of autistic children and young people. These sessions will be undertaken by a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered therapist who specialises in talking therapies and psychological therapies and is completely anonymous.
